World War Z

Yonkers, World War Z

“It goes by many names: “The Crisis,” “The Dark Years,” “The Walking Plague,” as well as newer and more “hip” titles such as “World War Z” or “Z War One.” I personally dislike this last moniker as it implies an inevitable “Z War Two.” For me, it will always be “The Zombie War,” and while many may protest the scientific inaccuracy of the word zombie, they will be hard-pressed to discover a more globally accepted term for the creatures that almost caused our extinction. Zombie remains a devestating word, unrivaled in its power to conjure up so many memories or emotions, and it is these memories, and emotions, that are the subject of this book.”

So begins World War Z by Max Brooks, the best book I’ve read all year and probably the best book about zombies ever written.

Inspired, I’ve put collected a couple of zombie-related tracks to celebrate humanity’s victory over the undead hordes.

“Zombie Panic” - Oddioblender

“When Zombies Attack” - NC-MCs feat. Sizzle Stixx

“Zombie Killa” - ZeaLous1

“Zombies Ate My Neighbours” - Chozo_Ninpo and MC Inadequate

All tracks courtesy of the geekily fantastic RhymeTorrents.

Image of Yonkers courtesy of John Petersen, who created it for the book.

Being a DJ myself and I am constantly astounded as what can be dished up as professional DJ work. I recently attended a corporate event and not only was the pimply head kid off his chops he was abusive and did not listen to any requests (not until security removed him) I honestly believe everyone in the room was offended. Sorry think I just had a rant! Nothing to do with whats happening here. Thanks for your thoughts

friend - I do agree that having a membership program for your weblog is a great method to earn some monthly recurring income especially if you are great within your particular niche. I’ve seen membership sites about topics knitting, guitar lessons as well as the iPhone along with the iPad. I guess the important here is to keep your posts worth paying for - and it’s not actually that challenging. I mean, if men and women are willing to pay for books which go to the shelf soon after they have finished reading it, why not then pay for a membership site that has fresh content on a typical basis?

What an excellent article you have written here. I really enjoyed reading through all of it and have bookmarked your website so I can come back to it in the future. It is so great to finally find someone who takes the time to research their topic and write a quality article about it. Too many people put up blogs with nothing useful or worth reading. So thank you so much for not being of those people. I will be back soon to read more.

Cleaning your computer\\\’s registry is one of the fastest ways to boost speed and overall reliability of your computer. Over time, installing programs and downloading stuff causes extra \\\”junk\\\” to build up in your computer\\\’s registry.

Think of it like a car with engine oil. It needs to be changed from time to time.

A regedit cleaner is software that can do it for you automatically in just minutes.
