Toronto local Scotty Dynamo is back with a music video of one of his best tracks, Make it Right. If his name sounds familiar, its because I’ve blogged about him a few times here on 199X.
I’ve always thought that songs about phones and texting were hilarious, and that’s why I loved Scotty Dynamo’s remix of the Gaga and Beyonce hit telephone before I’d even heard the original. Here’s some other phone-related musical mayhem to go along with it:
For another classic telephone track, check out The Firm’s Phone Tap. Its aged surprisingly well. And since we’re on such a tele-kick here, also check out how The Mentalists cover MGMT’s Kids on iPhones.
And of course, the video for Telephone is unreal.

If you’re not already hip to the Scotty Dynamo scene, grab his new album and hear what everyone’s been talking about.
His beats will are great, and he’s got hilarious lyrics like “no that aint my number that’s my bank account.”
I expect big things from this kid in twenty-ten. Check him and get his new album for free at ScottyDynamo.com
Or at least that’s the way it comes across in this re-work of Britney’s 3 by Toronto’s own Scotty Dynamo. Give it a listen, then catch him where ever you go. He’s ScottyDynamo on Twitter, MySpace and YouTube and he is going to be what you’re telling your friends about when they ask if you’ve listened to any good music lately.
After reading about him on Tzero I haven’t really stopped listening to Scotty Dynamo. It really doesn’t get much better than white teenagers making club raps about partying and living the good life. Seriously.
I had trouble choosing what tracks to post because they’re all gold.
Do it now, so you can tell your friends you were listenin’ to Scotty Dynamo before he blew up.
